Another proud moment for R. N. Podar School. Mahima Dev of Class-12 wins full EY Scholarship, which is a business plan pitch competition for college students across India. Students enter their unique ideas with a problem statement, solution, USP and 2 year profitability statement. The final round is judged by an EY Partner where you get 15 minutes to pitch and a 10 minute question answer round. All students enter individually. The winner gets Rs. 100,000 and an internship at EY, in a vertical of their choice.
Mahima Dev’s idea revolves around building a low-cost social media optimisation solution for small businesses and startups who cannot afford full time SM executives or big ticket digital marketing agencies. “Dextro“, she said, “would allow small businesses to customise their bran personality while optimising customer engagement online, generate more effective sales leads and slash costs at the same time. I think I won because my idea solved a genuine problem in an innovative and low cost manner, it was feasible and scalable at the same time. The target market was quite clear and I didn’t try to do too much at once but rather solve one pervasive problem very well.”
“I will be addressing my fellow college students very soon and am excited to start my internship at EY digital strategy advisory practice…..”, she shared with R. N. Podar. “…It will be a great learning opportunity for me as I will be one of the youngest in their advisory practice, which is the biggest in India”. Thank you R. N. Podar for showing the seeds of curiosity and innovation in me which has really brought me a long way!”.
This adds another feather to the hat of R. N. Podar School. We wish her the best in all her future endeavors and thank her for giving us, yet another reason, to be proud of.
